The front staff IS NOT friendly or helpful. I used this hotel because it was close to the hospital I used for my spine surgery on Jan. 22 and Feb. 17th. I live 3 hours from this area. About 8pm the night of Feb. 17 the power went out. It wasn't weather related. Didn't come back on till around 1 am. They said it was the second time that week .I was in a handicap room on floor number 4 . I had 7 spine surgeries so I definitely needed a handicap room. I also was there because I was having surgery again Feb. 18. I need to prep before surgery that night. The hot water quickly went cold so it was very hard to prep and it was very uncomfortable. I did the best I could. The next day I needed to be at the hospital for 9:30am for surgery. The elevator wasn't working so I called front desk. The girl told me she would get someone to work on it and call me back as soon as it was ready. After waiting 90 minutes, no call from front desk, the signs were still on elevator so I had no choice but to walk down stairs from 4th floor. I have a large brace on from my previous surgery 3 weeks before. When I got down to first floor the housekeeping lady started apologizing to me. There was a group of workers in a room to the right. The housekeeping lady opened the door and told them they had forgotten to take the signs off elevators. It had been fixed. I didn't get a call from front desk like I was suppose to either. Front desk didn't even look at me. On the day we checked into hotel I was finished with pre admitting at my hospital 90 minutes early ( before check in hotel) we drove to hotel and asked if we could check in? We told them we would pay whatever it was. I had been up for 7 hours with the driving to Hammond, pre admitting and still in brace from surgery 3 weeks prior. My first time out. I was exhausted and in severe pain. They told my husband they would call him as soon as they talk to someone. Again, no one called us.

Location was great! Convience of ballpark and variety of places to shop and eat. Also had relatives who lived nearby and was able to visit with them. Would certainly choose this location for future visits.

Ceagus
